Why do Miro wheels have the worst finish?

My Miro CSL reps......Ive had these for for about a year, and my god the finish is horrible, The finish of the wheel literally comes off, the finish just becomes black... I dont have a good picture, (since i try not to take any pics of them )

heres the only good pics i found

As you can somewhat see is the outer part of the rim, and the spoke literally just become blacker and blacker overtime

do you use wheel cleaners to clean the wheels? I'm sure you know that a lot of those products contain an acidic mixture that will eat away at the clear coat and eventually eat away at the paint of the wheels. There are a couple horror stories around here on the boards from certain products and from car washes too.

wheel finish

You are not the only one. My friend's Miro wheels did the same thing but 10x worse. All four look like the finish is melting off the wheel all over. He doesn't use chemicals either, only soap. They have a terrible finish.

Anybody knows how the VMR finish fares in this regard ? Not the powdercoated, but the painted finish...

VMW was better. I had some VMR "csls" on my e46 ZHP and when the finish did peel it still left a similar color underneath and was hardly noticible.

Looks like curb rash, is it only on the outer portion of the wheel near the tire? Are you curbing them?

I thought that too at first glance, look closer....it's bad.

When it comes down to it, a lot of times you get what you pay for.

I would say get new rims, or strip the rest of that off and get them powercoated.

but its just a matter of time before they bend on you too..

Get off the Miro train lol, let me know if you need some help

I wax my wheels once every 3 months and clean them weekly with car wash soap and detailer spray. My miros still look great. I agree that that the paint isn't great. But if you take care of them they will look good for a few years.

VMR's factory finish is great. I've run their wheels for the last 2+ years with no problems.

That last picture of the spokes wasn't showing when I posted...yea that's definitely bad. Miro's aren't even on my list of wheels I'm considering, I guess this just reaffirms that

Because with wheels, you literally get what you pay for. It's sh*t but it you're not the only one.

+1 Not knocking on VMR, however, goes back to what I said earlier.

I have your answer, and seriously, all kidding aside. It's because MIRO's are CHEAP A** WHEELS!!! Cheap casting, cheap manufacturing, cheap finishing, shoddy quality control, just cheap wheels. I know this is an overused cliche, but you really do get what you pay for.

Even so, if they are under warranty then they have a legal duty to honor the warranty for such Mfg. defects ...
