Minimum tyre width for a 9,5J wheel...

To be more accurate , I use the original M3 wheels on my car but using 335i tyre dimentions. My question is , does a 19" 9,5J wheel can work with a 255/35/19 tyre?

Thanks mate...my question is not "what you would do" but what are the offcial tyre standards for a 9,5J alloy wheel.

Each tire manufacturer lists the acceptable rim width for a tire size. To to TireRack.com, select the tire you want and go to the "specs" section and you will see acceptable rim widths for each tire size.

I think the 255 is approved to work on a 9.5 rim for most tire brands. In fact I think many lowered cars use 255 tires on 9.5 rims.

255, 265, and 275 will work fine. A lot of members on the boards run 265.

Thanks guys...
Im experiencing a strange issue.
I have just (before 1,5K miles) a set of Continental Sport Contact 5p and despitethe general admition the car is very slippery. Sometimes it feels like my old tyres performed better before changing them. I thought for a minute that the stock 335 tyre-size(225front/255rear)is too tight for the M3 wheels (8.5J /9,5J).

Any ideas?

Not so much 'too tight' in terms of fitting. The 8.5 in width will take a 225 and the 9.5 in width will take a 255, both with no problems. 335 owners on this board usually go with a 235 F / 265 R set-up. Like I said before, you can max up to 275, so I would suggest 265 for you.

I am a bit confused as to what you mean by 'just before 1.5K miles a set of'. Did you mean that you are nearing 1.5K miles on your current set of tires?
