Ticket Question

Yes, I know there are a ton of tint ticket threads, but I had a few questions and don't have time to really search things out right now.

1. The officer marked the ticket that the road conditions were dry and the weather was clear. Well, it was raining in Irvine where I got the ticket, so I don't understand how she could have put that. Does this give me any leverage at all, or not really since it doesn't have anything to do with the tint?

2. Can any officer sign the ticket so I can mail it in and pay the fix it price, or does it have to be an Irvine officer?

Finally, anyone have a buddy or so that can sign off tickets? Just thought I would throw that out there. Thanks.

ANY peace officer can sign off your ticket, this includes meter maids, prison guards etc....Also ANY peace office anywhere in CA can sign it off. Actually they might not even have to be CA.

Just make sure that they stamp their dept. next to their signature. I have had the OC west courthouse not accept the signature/badge# just by itself...had to go back and get it stamped

So I've been getting different answers while asking around. I don't necessarily have to get it fixed, right? I can just pay a higher fine around $150-$200. Because if it's going to cost me around that much to tear it off, pay the $20-$25, then get it redone, I might as well just pay the fine and save myself the time.

But if I get pulled over again for it, the fine will be much higher, right? Can I correct it then, or will they mark it non-correctable then?

You can just pay the higher fine. I know tons of people that just pay there smog fee because it is cheaper then going back to stock and then seeing the ref.

Is this true? Meter maids and prison guards?

So are they going to mail me something saying what the higher fine is? So I don't have to get it fixed at all if I pay the higher fine, right? Tickets for tint are just so stupid in my opinion. Especially since it is not something that is consistent throughout the whole country.
