Pulled the trigger on a 335i e93

Alas..after tons of research, finally put an order in for an e93 335i. Thank you so much for this forum and everyone who helped me with info and feedback that helped with my decisions. I still have time to change options, so wanted to post here incase I forgot any of the must-have's:

- Black Saphire (I wanted Jet Black but not an option with M-sports)
- Saddle Brown with Dark Glacier Trim (after loooots of debate )
- Premium Pkg
- M-sports Pkg
- Convenience Pkg ( Park Distance, Alarm, Comfort Access)
- Harman Kardon
- Navigation
- Heated Seats
- Ipod and USB

$62,400 MSRP Lease: $1200 down due at sign in, $869 monthly payment. (I am in Texas so there is an extra 3500 Tax upfront factored in). Good deal, not the best in terms of numbers, but they took care of my current lease that has excessive miles (10k over LOL), needs tires..etc etc. So overall, I am happy with the finance side of it.

I did not add the Sat Radio as my current car has it and the quality is terrible. Although I have an 07 335i and I heard in 2010 or so the Sat Radio is HD? Nevertheless, I only listened to 2 channels, so it was not worth it.

May the looooooong wait begin..

Any other items I have to add in there?

Thanks
Skimo

Sounds like a great car, congrats. I personally would own rather than lease because I don't believe in paying so much money yet having nothing to show for it after 3 years.

Loooooong wait is right. I ordered my E93 on June 11th. Car off production line and shipped to Bremerhaven on June 22nd. Where it still sits! I went through this last year with a 750 picked up on ED. Once it's on the ship it's six agonizing weeks to the dealer (SF Bay Area). Tap...tap...tap...

I debated this myself and decided to lease also. I am waiting for my 335i to get on the damn boat at this moment

My reasons for leasing were.
1. Lower payments now. (I would have hard time paying much more than i got my lease for)
2. Last model year, so if I don't want to keep my 2011 335i since new body type comes out next year, I don't have to.
3. If I do want to keep it after lease end, I can buy it and probably for a great price because it will be a previous model by that time.

Congrats man! The wait will be torture!

I ordered an E92 335i on 6/17 that's currently at the port awaiting a ship. I've been calling the BMW NA number everyday keeping tabs on it's status, sad I know

This is not in response to the person who said this, but I hear this comment over and over again, and I think it's more complex than that.

Best thing is to buy any car with CASH. (well, unless you can make more money with that cash than you have to pay in interest to lease/finance)

If you finance, and you pay off the car, and you sell it.... you don't get all your money back. You get its value after X number of years. You have paid for its usage.

If you lease, you don't pay for the whole car, you pay for its usage.

If you keep a car only 2-4 years, and the interest rates are similar, there is no advantage to buying the car. In fact, if you buy the car and it gets into an accident, you suffer the depreciated value had you financed it. But it's the manufacturer who takes the hit if you leased it. (Many people with high-priced cars lease. I heard of an unfortunate lady who suffered $25K repair on her car. However, that was cheaper for the insurance company than totaling her expensive car. Who's gonna wanna buy her car now?

If you can afford to finance, but lease (because, for example, lease rates are much more attractive at the time), at the end of 3 years, if you want to keep the car and pay it off in totality (no further financing - that should be no problem if you could afford to finance it in the first place), you have lost no money compared to leasing. Or perhaps gained (lower interest rate)

I say this as something who was dead set against leasing before.

Congrats OP.

I always pay cash, but with the 335i I financed a bit at 2.9%. No biggy.

Sorry to take off topic to your original question OP.

Options look great - do not see anything missing.
