Storm in Chicago and damage

Hello,

so on Friday we had some nice weather here in Chicago with winds up to 70mph. It happened that I was driving on the highway and this wind gust carrying all imaginable garbage - stones, tree branches, tree leaves etc - went over the highway and my car

I washed my car today and guess what - I have quite a few paint chips (all the way to the metal), chips in the windshield, some clear coat burns (not sure about the name).

so the question:

did anyone get into situation like this before? Did the insurance cover the damage? I am afraid that as the damage is not big insurance will not cover anything...what should I tell my agent?
BTW, I managed to take a few seconds video during this incident with my phone, so I have a proof that all these paint chips are new....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvDgkjRe3-U

Unless there's like a huge dent or a giant patch of paint missing I wouldn't bother with insurance. Just touch them up and call it a day.

Had a tree branch land on my wifes MDX in the storms we had in the NE in the spring. It was considered an 'Act of God' and didn't affect our future rates. Luckily our comprehensive deductible is only $250.

Only bad thing is that carfax lists it as a 'accident.'

Looks like there will be another storm in Chicago today.

File a claim. Same as hail damage. I had $760 worth of hail damage done to my car a month ago. My friend a few miles away had his car TOTALED because of hail.

GD Global warming!!

lol more hail last night. And one of the worst cells materialized out of nowhere just a few miles SW of Plainfield. We had about 30 mins to brace for that one. Looking at the radar, there was nothing there, and then all of a sudden, BAM. Hail, winds, giant dark red spot on the map.... WTF is up with the weather around here lately?
