Ideas to Maintain Firmness of Black Leather Seats
I just got my new e92 which has black leather seats like my old e46. It's starting to get really hot. This is embarrassing...my behind get really hot running errands, so there's perspiration that is transferring to the seat. (This is also something that happens after cardio workout at the gym)
In my e46, the leather seat started to have an imprint of my behind (the service advisor joked once that it's the behind mark). Even though I've only driven my new e92 for a couple of weeks, I'm noticing a slight imprint. In both cars, I have the windows tinted and as soon as I jump into the car, I turned up the AC. I know I'm not the only one What do folks do? I am thinking of getting some seat cushion from AutoZone or Advanced Auto. In the meantime I'll put a towel on the seat. |

schwetty balls. Sucks.
Honestly though I've been thinking of the same thing. Luckily after I get out of the gym, I either am going back to the office to cool down for a bit, or I have a 2 mile drive home. |

I havent had any issues with my behind being imprinted into the seat. But regardless if the ac is on or off, the leather does make me sweat.
Your best option is probably a thin seat cushion or something. But for sure ditch the towel.

After the Gym i warm down and then put on some track suit bottoms (track pants in the US???) before getting in the car - problem solved.

After talking to a couple of friends and thinking about it more, I think the black leather seat is making me behind and back sweat! Yesterday, it was in the 90's outside. When you get in the car it's closer to 120. If they can make heated seats, why can't they make cooling seat? I just got the car tinted with Pinnacle 35%. But it didn't make a difference. 35% is the most I'll go. |

Your best option would be a lower percentage tint, although 35% is pretty low, especially in VA.

I have black leather also. I've noticed that leather is lighter in color where my butt makes contact than the leather that doesn't get touched (like the crack where the seat meets the seat back).
You could try the oem seat cover/vest. Rich |

I have black leather and my back sweats a lot too. I have 35% tint but it doesn't really help. Just crank the AC up and try to keep your back off the backrest.

But that Shamwow would actually feel very nice on the seat..... I was going to suggest it as a serious solution.

I went to AutoZone and Advance Auto. They have the full seat cover which looks petty ghett0. I was thinking of maybe getting it and just cut out the portion for the seat. |

If it makes you feel any better, your car looks absolutely stunning with those 230's on.
