had to jump start car, sure sign battery needs replacing? dsc fault codes afterwards.

I drove 30miles to the post office then when my car wouldn't turn on. Lights wouldn't turn on, windows didnt work, my key fob was stuck in the slot. So. Called my dad to jump and it took 20 minutes to get my car to start. Now it runs but I'm just wondering if the problem is the battery or also something else because shouldn't I only have needed 5 minutes to get my car started?

After the car was started, I got these dsc errors but try went away 8 hrs later. Cars running fine now biting so cautious... anything I need to worry about here?

Also I read don theads about needing to get new car battered registered and How it'll cost 400-500 just to do that :/

added PBX to the car 1 month ago. I also got this power adapter that plugs into the flashlight port in the glovebox: http://www.amazon.com/BMW-Genuine-Au...7&sr=8-2-spell

with the power adapter it says don't leave items plugged in after the car is off because i guess it still powers whatever's connected for 30 minutes after the car's off. i only have a small USB car charger attached to it. There's a little LED light on this charger, does this drain the battery? i know it's small but maybe anything that uses up power will drain the battery?

just now, one day later, i drove the car home from work and i lost power for a few seconds, but when i closed the door, the power came back -_-

Battery issues can cause all kinds of crazy dash lights. i remember ABS and also that the radio volume would go out.
