WIN. There are so many little electronic back up that helps correct human error. its good to know that they're there. the important thing is to not become dependent on them. as much as we bitch moan and complain about little things that go wrong with our cars, i believe that BMW makes not only great driving cars, but safe driving cars.

agreed. its sad that many people still make stupid decisions when driving and think that just because theyre in a bimmer with sports suspension or having 4-wheel drive and all these gadgets that they are invincible.... later on being a part of a terrible car accident. no matter how safe top-notch the technology may be we must not ignore the laws of physics!

but bmw has definitely done its part to make sure that its drivers are as safe as possible, all while making the car a joy to drive.

love BMW

It has worked both ways for me. I have had days where a wheel slips unexpectedly and it recovers nicely and other days where I'm pushing the car hard around a corner (forgetting to turn it off) and it catches me off guard. Since forgetting to turn it off is really my fault and not the system's, I say it is a good system for daily driving.

Glad you are okay. A background story would've helped with the trolls though.

Yeah sometimes I forget to turn it off when I'm turning left onto a busy four-lane 45(posted)MPH road. If it's wet or if I give it a tad too much gas, it bogs me down for what seems like an eternity with cars closing quickly from the driver and passenger side. Forgetting to turn it off one day nearly got me killed.

+1 on DSC being a good thing. When you want to have fun, turn it off. For most daily driving, it's nice to have.

One night a sharp bend came up in the dark on a country road. I wasn't going fast enough to run off the road, but I did understeer just over the line. That was with DSC intervening. Had there been oncoming traffic and no DSC the results may have been different.
