its a great feature, especially if some person decides to start walking past the rear of your car & you don't see them in the mirror the sensors pick it up before hand.

So this was to prove that your parking sensors saved you from crashing into a house while trying to get into a tight spot?

I love the rear PDC, gives me comfort when backing up for something that I just MIGHT not see and also helps when parallel parking into a spot.

PDC is one of the must have options for me. It takes away a lot of stress from parking. I must disagree with people who say the 3 series is a small enough car and you won't need PDC.

Doesn't much matter - at that distance the "beep beep" had long turned into a steady "beeeeeep" and the PDC became useless. The OP just wanted to brag about his mad parking skillz.
