Hello from a new 335 owner

Howdy boys and girls. Just bought my 2007 335 sedan in Platinum Bronze a couple days ago. It's fairly decked out with the sports pkg, idrive/nav, cold weather, premium pkg.

I'm coming off an 08 Tundra Crewmax Ltd. so for me this thing feels like a cushy little go kart.

Still making heavy use of the search button here in the forums so no questions yet but just wanted to say hi. I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

Scott

Thanks Marcus - I've been lurking the last week or so and there is definitely some great info in here.

There seem to be a fair number of California 3 series on the market in the Pacific NW. Must be 3 year lease returns maturing I suppose.

Cheers

LMAO.

Welcome, and you picked a beautiful color, one that I don't think I've seen in person, before. Enjoy your new go-kart.

No, but i like him already.

Here's a list of knick knacks that I've already bought:

Owners manual and books - car didn't have it
2010 nav DVD
Oem rubber floor mats
Weathertech trunk liner
Touch up paint
Ultra magical iPod cable

Quick impressions:

Seats are awesome
Nav is a bit kludgy and map data not as current as my gamin nuvi
car drives and handles mo betta than any other I've owned

I've realized that you kind of need to "learn" how to drive and operate this car to fully enjoy it.

Damn you had to buy the mats and manuals? Geez.

Even with the iDrive update the navi is not as accurate? I still drive around with the 2008 disc in mine and its terrible You're right about needing to know the functions of the car lol, the first thing I did when I got home from the dealer was read the manual from start to about 3/4 way through

Idrive isn't really related to map data but yeah, I was kinda pissed when a couple roads in my area are not even in the map system.

The car had the cloth mats but I wanted the rubber ones for seattle weather. As far as the manual goes - who takes out the manual when they sell or turn in their new car? That was puzzling. Luckily eBay hooked me up for much less than my dealer wanted.

Pics coming shortly, promise.

**correction, I meant the maps. Since its connected through iDrive, though, that's how it came out when I referred to it

I was surprised about the mats because the dealers usually include a set of the all season ones.. the issue with the manuals seems puzzling, as well. Maybe the new owner wanted a souvenir

Welcome Seattlescott. The search function on these forums sucks...but you gotta try em' or you'll get flamed for asking questions that have been asked a hundred times. Sometimes though you have to post a question...and endure the flames and get the answer from the people that opt not to razz you.

Classy looking ride...i'd remove the front license plate...looks so much cleaner without...WSP never bugs me about it. At the very least buy one of the less obtrusive aftermarket front license plate holders.

If you don't have plans saturday you should meet at Bellevue community college for the 10th annual Leavenworth drive. Should be lots of german car enthusiasts (apparently almost 700 cars last year), and some fun twisty roads.

Thanks! I actually got a ticket at Seatac airport for not having a front plate so I'm a little gun shy. I agree though it looks much better without that big hunk of plastic.

Appreciate the ride offer on Saturday but I'm tied up this weekend. Sounds like an awesome ride.
