Question Poll: Exterior looks 335i vs 335ci cabrio (roof closed)

I heard mixed opinions. Some prefer the 335i coupe looks over the 335i convertible (with the roof closed). Others actually like the divider lines and angles of the convertible.

I am about to pull the trigger on a 335i convertible coming out of a 335i coupe. Although I personally believe the coupe looks "better" , I have always wanted a convertible. Wanted to see what everyone else thinks.

However, I also believe the convertible looks spectacular with the top down...but this is not part of the vote

There is no poll

I do think the coupe looks better in all aspects, but if you want the wind in your hair then it probably isn't going to cut it for you. A hardtop on an E93 looks loads better, though (for snow/rain/everything else/etc).

hardtops are definitely better than soft tops, but i prefer the coupe over the convertible.

funny thing is, with all the e93 i see around, I rarely see them with the top down. NY weather has been pretty sucky and isnt really summertime yet.

the E93 has fucked up body lines if you ask me when the roof is closed it goes from nice mid body lines and then flat trunk...

The trunk portion of the convertible looks weird to me. It looks great with the top down though.

The coupe looks better but as far as verts go, especially hard top verts, the e93 looks absolutely fantastic. One of thee very best looking verts around, roof up or down. If you want a vert just go for it. Who cares what everyone else thinks?

+1. Coupe looks nicer ALL AROUND IMO. But, the e93s do look beautiful top down, no question about that. If you are even considering the e93, then that's what I would go with. A good friend of mine was in the same predicament a couple of years back. He loved the way the e92s looked, but also wanted a convertible. To me, the e93s still look pretty nice top up, so I'd choose it over the e92 IF I wanted a convertible; i.e., the e93s' look with top up wouldn't deter me from purchasing it.

Top Up: Coupe
Top Down: Convertible

But then there aren't many verts that look good with the top up (though there are some), indeed the 335i convertible looks better than most with the top up. And if you are far enough away that you can't really see the cracks, it's quite nice looking.

I never really cared for the looks of many BMW models but I like the looks of both the E92 and E93. Compared to some of the monstrosities that BMW has come up with in the last few years they are works of art. In the general scheme of car designs they are OK.

and i hate when e93 owners dont have the top down on perfect days! it makes me so mad lol id rock the top down in anything above 50 degree weather!

i love the e93 more and more everytime i see it but it looks so effing nice with the top down
