engine turned off =(

well i was being a childish idiot =) with traction off on tip tronic i made a nastyy turn and i was on 1st gear full throttle i lost control and i kept spinning like 3 times and then when i gained control back i noticed that the engine turned off

do you think my engine got harmed or why did it turn off? .. and then i was still on tiptronic so i put it back on park and turned it back on and then it said check engine but it went away when i drove off..

Engine stalled. service engine light goes off when the engine stalls on a manual. it turned off to prevent damage.

i hope it was a safety future ...it was stupid of me but i gotta admit the adrline rush when i lost control was just sick i was on a main street thank god it was empty ..any other thoughts about my engine turning off?

It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger
