Heavy/ stiff Pedal

Is it just me or is the gas pedal on the 2011's really heavy down low? I have trouble backing up slowly into the garage with out surging backwards. Then around slow turns where you let off accelerator and then get back on it it surges around the corner. WTF!!

I think that's a common problem with automatics - is yours an auto?

Yes, the pedal is stiff. Has been on every BMW I ever drove. But you get used to it pretty quickly. If you are getting surging, you might ask the dealer about it. The auto boxes in earlier model years did this, but supposedly the newer software fixes it. My '08 did it some until I got the software updated.

Yeah. As for sll BMWs Im not so sure as Ihave a 95 BMW also and its pedal is much softer. Its just the initial pressure that causes it. It always worse when Im backing into the garage due to the slight incline.
