Non xDrive 335i owners, launch question

For non-xDrive owners, especially those with tunes - how difficult is it to get a good launch and/or put power down to the wheels in general?

I ask because I'm considering getting an F10 550i, but I'm not sure whether or not I should go with xDrive. My current ride is an '08 335xi.

The question arises because I'll be moving to a warmer climate very soon (Northern VA, currently in Minnesota), otherwise xDrive would be a no-brainer. BMW's annoying refusal to put LSD in non-M cars is what makes me hesitant to get the i.

I'm from NoVA... I don't do too much launching but after last year's snow storms I'm sure glad that I've got x-Drive.

I love xdrive and I love how the car launches rather than spins.

I have had AWD cars in the past... and now have rwd 335i. Stock, the rwd is no problem. With JB3, I would honestly rather have AWD. In first and 2nd gear, you can easily spin the tires or force traction control to engage. With AWD, that would not be an issue. From 3rd gear on, there is no issue. Good luck!
