My 335is review. Short and sweet.

The 335 vs 335s is like:

-the iPhone 3G compared to iPhone 3GS

-Or a black and white milk shake (vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup) compared to a chocolate milkshake.

......it's just a smidgen more refined in all categories.

The 335S just felt like a refined version of my car (in sig). Besides mild handling difference compared to my AWD suspension...the speed faster, but not jaw dropping fast. The exhaust was a little louder than a golf tee mod and the speed dial had the 335S badging.

Cool car. But id chip a 335 or buy the m3. I feel like the S is to stop people from jb3

i had the 335i and just purchased the 335is and its a completely different car. the DCT plays a huge part in that which i am surprised was not mentioned. the 335i is an amazing car to say the least. if you don't mind dishing out a bit extra; the 335is is def worth it! voom voooom!

How will the 335is stop people from JB3?

I believe what OP is referring to is that the 335is is more refined in terms of Hp, and suspension. What BMW did to the 335is is minute compare to what Aftermarket tuning can and will be able to do for the E9X N54 and N55 engines.

There is no suspension or sway bar difference between i and is E92 is there?

For me, I prefer not to spend money on mods. The extra 5k could have gone towards JB3 (when they make it for N55), suspension, exhaust, downpipes, etc on a regular i, however, I would never have modded the engine if ever until after warranty expired anyways. Also, the is had a DCT which the 335i never came with in the states. DCT was probably 75% of my decision to opt for the is. 7 forward gears is pretty cool.

I still prefer the 335is looks wise. I love the M-sport front, but don't like the back bumper (the bottom matte black portion protrudes too far up). I love the 335is back, however.

335is rocks. Too much $ to trade my 2007 in for one, but if I were in the market, it would be my choice hands down.

Waiting on the Z2, might have to wait even longer for the supersprint version similar to is.

I totally agree. Besides, I believe 335is has better cooling capacity and if I decide to mode it, I wouldn't have to worry about overheating. Also DCT was another deciding factor for me as I can not stand automatics.

Do you notice it seems a little slow going into reverse when starting cold in the morning?

well...when you put it into reverse...the car does not move quickly on its own like the auto would. that's because of the DCT. it feels more like a manual car with a quicker shift respond. i actually like it like that.
