SG with the 230s is a sweet combination. Very nice, and welcome!

for future refrences: go to flicker, get the size of photo you want, right click "view image" so you get the image by itself, go click on the little mountain (under the advanced posting menu), and paste the url of the image.
And lovely LCI.

I told you I was a total newbie...didn't even know how to post pics Thanks for the compliments. I was very disappointed about the change from the 225M to the 230. I am going to admit that I'm not a huge fan of the 230's, but they're starting to grow on me (from up close, they look huge...when I first shared pics to friends, they gave me a hard time "Those rims are SOOO HUGE" -- because I was going back and forth with the 18" 193M vs. 19"). My gut was to go with the SG but thought about LMB. SG is classic especially with the black interior and alum trim. I am glad I waited for the 2011 (the LED are super intense and incredibly bright even in the daylight). I was able to get the options I wanted -- though I think I got almost everything LOL. I heart the PDC on both the front and rear (I had PDC on my old car and it was a must have since I live in an area where I have to do a lot of parallel parking). I didn't know what was so great about CA...now I know! When will other car makers follow BMW. Though I've only had the car for a few days, I'm totally digging the fact that I don't have to dig through all my pockets or my murse ("Man's bag") to find the keys. The ZMP is a must have. It definitely makes the car stand out where everyone and their brother drives a bimmer where I live. Also thought the non-ZMP is fugly and not as aggressive looking (let's be honest, what is up with the slits in the front...they look like a step ladder). The waiting was the hardest part. But good things come to those who wait: I was able to get the transmission credit and day of delivery, the BMW Financing APR went down 1% (2.9% > 25 months and 0.9% was available for 24 months). I worked with an incredible advisor who was extremely helpful (full disclosure of the invoice pricing vs. MSRP, disclosure of the available program credits) and patient. He even took a video of the car when it first arrived at the dealership. He made car shopping and buying a painfree experience. The only mods so far are: Ventureshield full hood, front bumper, front fender, mirrors, rocket panels and rear trunk lip-- drove immediately from the dealer to the installer, driving very very slow not wanting any rock chips to hit the car (which was quite a feat for those who are familiar with the Capital Beltway in NOVA/DC/MD). Future mods: Not too many since I have the ZMP; but tint obviously (haven't decided which product or percentage yet -- want to stay legal...unfortunately VA has 50% front, 35% rear). Possibly swamping out the 230's for 313's. Last edited by rust99; 06-08-2010 at 01:45 AM.. Reason: corrected typos |
