i jsut wash my car today. it is sparkling clean. i notice on the door have some paint flaw in it. i took it to a nearby body shop, they said it must be from manufacture. does anyone know this would be under warranty? if so, do the repaint it? i tried to get a picture but too many background reflex back on it. thanks.

hmm good question.
I would take it to the dealer, but they might fight with you depending on how long ago you bought it.
If you don't get a good answer from them, call BMWNA, and call and call and call and call and call

Well if it was their fault than yeah.

Paint can easily be a pointing finger situation which would be them saying "your fault", etc.

Paint defects should be covered, but could be a limited time from purchase - because the harsh environment of our planet takes its toll too. I would call right away and find out. Also, if the defect is very minor (so minor that you barely noticed) you might want to consider whether you want your car repainted if it is metallic. It might look worse afterwards if the match isn't perfect.

ok, i took the car to the dealer to have the problem fix. they said my car had to be in for 1 week., so they gave me a loaner. X3. weak car. anyways the car went to there body shop and they fixed the problem in 1 day. all they did was color sand and buff the thing out. so glad to have it back. during the time i had the loaner, i had to drive out to simi valley to pick up some stuff. on the way there i was hit on the windsheild by at least 7 rocks. 1 managed to chip the windsheild. wow lucky me. it could have been my car

That is lucky that it wasn't your car. Will the dealer charge you for the repair tho? That won't be so lucky, but still your e90 won't need it's windsheild replaced!

yeah lucky it wasn't your car. they can't charge you for that though. in florida, there is a law that insurance must replace windsheilds for free due to saftey reasons.
