330I or the 330xi.
Hey guys,
Turning in our 323 for the new 330. From what I hear the xi option on the 3 series is very popular where I live, but do I really need it for Jersey winters? I order a 330xi last week and know am thinking about changing it to 330i. The rims, performance package, sports package just look awesome. Will the extra $$ for xi be worth it and will the handeling in normal conditions suck? Am I correct in saying that if you get the performance tires/162 rims, you can't drive it in the winter time at all, ie dangerous? Do you have to absolutley get another set of tires. Do they have all-seasons/run flat for the 162's and would this be sufficient in slushy conditions.(Wife will kill me isf she can't drive it all year round) Your thoughts would be be welcomed because I have 7 days to change my mind. Thanks, THUMP |

I'm in Jersey, too, and ordered the 330i. It snows less than 10 days a year here and its cleared within a few hours. Unless you live in a real rural area, just get some winter tires and you'll be fine. You could probably even get away with some decent all-seasons.
