It means it's time to get your car checked/serviced by your BMW dealer. They'll go over the car basically and make sure everything is ok.

Which one of them? lol

The one with the car on the lift means that you have to get the engine checked.

Probably an oil change or something

Since you may have HPFP issues http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=385982 I would say that the HPFP might be throwing a code to make the car lift light up. Keep us updated when the dealer checks it out.

The Bentley Manual says the car-on-jack icon you posted means "Vehicle Check," at the bottom there should be the mileage and date advising when the check is due; the numbers are obscured in your figure. The manual refers to Table (d), and the table lists 18 different things that could cause the icon to appear (just about anything). IMO, the icon is of the advisory not emergency type.

your car is Optimus Prime and currently doesnt sense any danger, if you see a R8 or a yellow camaro with a hot chick with toe thumbs in the passenger seat on the road hold on for dear life

Nope

thing is this sign came

and then disappeared after i started driving

hasn't appeared since

which makes me confused

also, the triangle is for no TPMS
I have it 24/7

I haven't had TMPS for months (except for the times i put my stocks back on, but with the iForged/DPEs/BBS reps, neither have TMPS)

might be a reminder you have maintenance service coming up soon if it lit during startup or shutdown.

in the service reminders is there anything with a date or mileage that is close to now?

No, everything is thousands of miles away

I just got an oil change before that...

The thing that baffles me is that it's gone.. and it never showed up when I scanned the car...

isn't it for the visual service inspection at the dealership where they take your car apart and do a visual service inspection. The car has a date and the mileage counting down to zero. I have a appointment on the 25th of May because my car reads 460 miles before its due for inspection II

Because you may have intermittent HPFP issues?
