It seems like a problem that can be duplicated by the dealership...a code is not necessary for a dealership to look into a problem a customer complains about...if the shaking is violent and occurs at idle there probably is a problem...possibly with the engine mount...if you're still under warranty (you should since you're car is '09) I would go to another dealership and explain the issue
it seems like some information is missing though...especially if the car stayed at the dealer for 2 weeks... |

based on the quantity and quality of information, here's my professional-internet-user opinion. The dealership doesn't want to do the work on your car. Probably cause they suspect some amount of dishonesty from you.

cant see how there is anything spurious atall with either the poster or his explaination?
Seems to me like the man is asking what his options are, and if therre are any educated guesses on what the problem could be...

You can go to another dealer and you can also tell the dealer that you are leaving your car there and you want them to test it from time to time and you won't pick it up again until they verify it. That should give them a picture that you're not kidding and they should probably take a look at it.

The first thing I would do is take it to the BMW dealership when the problem is apparent. If you know how to duplicate the problem, even better. Go to the dealership and ask an SA for a Tech ride along. Take a tech with you and show him exactly what your car is doing and let him diagnose it. Also, you might want to try a different dealer, just in case.
Good luck! |
