Angry Badge Stolen

Drove to UCSD to visit my gf. Parked my bimmer overnight in the small lot across The Village housing place. When I go open my trunk the next day I notice its gone. Looked at other bimmers around me with their's still intact. At least they didn't damge my car. Thirty dollars to replace. Stupid thieves...no respect for other people's property. How would they like if their's got stolen > Sucks how that the emblem comes right off though.

This happened to me about two weeks ago! I couldn't believe it. There are several other BMWs in my neighborhood and mine was the only one that was taken.

Luckily, I also didn't notice any damage when they removed it.

thats the thing, it doesnt...it takes experience and the right tool to remove them easily...basically those guys have done it numerous times because they need the right tool to get it off, you cant just walk up and pull with your fingers

Just check ebay and you might be able to buy it back from the guy who took it.

The BMW badge is not so easy to remove without the proper tool, which the thieves most likely had. BMW and Mercedes badges are the most common targets.

That's nothing compare to some friends who got their carbon fiber spoiler and other accessories stolen as they are just glued or 3M taped.

you can pop it off with a credit card. when i bought my CF roundels i scuffed the back up with sandpaper and put a giant blob of silicone behind it before pushing it on. should make it harder to remove.

LoL. They'll probably be pissed and damage your car if they can't make their living.

To be honest, I park my BMW near a school and in front of a friend office that have a camera surveillance and sometimes I watch it, many times I see kids and youngster (12-17) doing things to my BMW like putting hands on it, hammering with their hands on the trunk, trying to scratch with their bags....
Thes kids are the worst, even teenage girls laught when the boys do their bad stuff to the car. So don't think it's those adults that do things to your car but kids, be aware.
