are you talking about a charger that charges your car thru the cigarette lighter? or a cell phone charger that draws its power from the cigarette lighter?

You should be OK to charge the cell phone from the cigarette lighter, but bear in mind that the power will be available there when you drive the car, but will be turned off when you lock the car, or, if you do not lock it, when the car goes to sleep.

No electrical problems, everything is protected by fuses.

The cigarette lighter element probably draws more current than a phone charger.
