there is no interior button to release the trunk lid. You go to the trunk and put your hand under the light recess and press the latch and the trunk lid will pop open. GL.

Allex, to open the door using the method I described, I think all doors (pass and driver) must be unlock. Try that and see if it works. Don't ask me why they did that.
and calm down bro, it is not like someone is trapped in the trunk. lol.

yeah calm down. As mentioned, there is an interior trunk release button in the driver's side footwell, right above the hood release button. Also you can open the trunk manually after all doors are unlocked. Of course the remote is another way...

you're KIDDING me bro, you've pretty much taken the entire interior out to look around, and you haven't seen the trunk release button? haha, just having fun with you
the trunk release button, like Donny mentioned, is just above the hood release lever Quote:

I couldn't open my trunk and started freaking out when I first got my car. I asked on here and they said to check the valet switch in the glove box, up that was it :P someone must have hit it accidentally.

Allex where are you? dont tell me you locked yourself in the trunk trying to open the trunk. j/k
On a serious tone, try this. First make sure the trunk switch in the glove box is set to 2 (right side). See my first photo below. Second, walk to the back of car and place your hand under the trunk lid (see second photo below) and feel for rubbery surface and press it to release the trunk lid. Now, with the trunk switch in the glove box set to 2 (unlock mode), I was not able to open the trunk when all doors are locked (make senses since we do not want strangers walking up to our car and open the trunk). Second test, I only unlock the driver's door (press unlock 1 time on fob), I could not open the trunk with only the driver side door unlock (not sure what the logic behind this). Third, I unlock all 4 doors (press the unlock button on fob second time) and the trunk open happily from the outside. Of course, you could always use that awefully located trunk release button found in SoYank's photo. Not sure if your 318i trunk works the same way as US 325/330i. Let us know bro.

Is it possible that some European delivered models do not have the trunk release button in the same place as the U.S. delivered models?
