average fuel consumption cluster problem.... 0.01L/100KM

ok.. i had a steering wheel lock error warning happen about a week ago. its only happened once ever, so i assumed it was a glitch. it has happened again yet. hopefully it wont!

when this steering wheel lock error came up, i instantly noticed my average fuel consumption reading failed. it read ---L/100KM.

so i went ahead and reset it, thinking it was just a glitch, left it for a week or so. checked it again yesturday it read 0.01L/100KM and would occasionally jump to 0.02L/100KM. obviously that is not correct.

i reset it once again, and it seems to be working properly now.

is something wrong with my sensors? or what happened. Was I on the average MPG or real time MPG. it still shouldnt show 0.01L or ----L/100 at any point???

any ideas?
