2009 335 with a HPFP Failure

Hi everyone

25K miles and I'm getting my HPFP replaced!

Just wanted to pass it on for ll those folks that thought the 09/10 would fix the issues.

Makes me even happier that my car will soon be making way for an M3.

Ahh, a ton of people were hoping this was solved. Are you on the newest software?

If I'm not mistaken, people are hoping the 943 pump and the 37.x solves it. They were not available when the first '10's were sold....

2009 had the old pump, for sure. Same as previous model years.

My 09/10 production date 335i is also at the dealer for long cranks. Only 2400 miles. They're going through the required steps. Loaded the newest program then tested again, which showed the high side WAY down @ 50 bar when it should be @ 100 and the low side is only a few mbar below the low end. They had to keep it overnight to do a cold start, at which point my SA is positive it will fail again and be replaced.

Correct. Your pump was the old pump.

Hi all Mine had the latest software update (updated due to other issues) and it was made in 09 so it did not have the newest pump installed.

BMW is taking care of it but im just bummed that they still dont have this fixed.
