I know this is an e90-93 forum but...

Hey guys I know this is a e90's forum but I have a quick question, my buddy is buying a 2005 330Ci with 33,724 Miles for $16580. This car is fully loaded and has the M Package. The car seems to be in great shape. Do you guys think this is a good price?

Here are some pics

Thanks!

Definitely try the e46 fanatics website. Just as a heads up, the E46 has a terrible cooling system. Expansion tank is the weakest link. Also, I would change the vanos seals, easy DIY and its a problem on all e46s (search).

M Package? No such thing if I'm remembering correctly. It's got sport seats and M3 wheels on it. If you can PM me the last 7 of the VIN I check the service records and option codes the car came with originally.

Thanks nycport! I just PM'd you. I thought it has the M Package just because it has M Wheels, Steering wheel, Door Sills. Maybe it was called M Sport back then?

Price is decent... but car's been in accident... and first owner dumped it right after the accident. So its your call.

Your wasting your time on a car that has been in an accident.
The M-Sport kit is a nice touch but I won't buy a car that has been in an accident.
For 16K you can get a clean title M3.

I agree! I'll pass on that M3 too. Plus carfax said Minor damage reported which could mean it was just a fender bender. This car is a 2005 with 33+K miles.

^ take it to a body shop to see if there is any frame damage. If you plan on selling it in the future just realize you will take a hit on resale and most people pass on reported accidents (even minor ones). Knowledge is power.

there was an M package, but those wheels were not part of it. those are the M3 standard 18s. i think the option code was ZHP. but if it was in an accident, dont even think twice about it.

You clearly don't know how reliable the S54 engine is...
Anyway, you can find something with lower milage under 20K easily.
Nothing in the E46 line, even a supercharged 330i can come close to the driving feel of the M3.
