335is Interior

I understand the 335is only comes with the aluminum trim interior. I like everything about the IS package, but am having a hard time warming up to the silver trim. Are there any undocumented option lists or other ways to get a wood or carbon trim in the IS? Thanks.

There is no simple way to change it. You will have to replace it post delivery.. you can find wood trim on ebay etc or order the parts..

I was like you and did not like the trim in the pictures etc.. BUT once I saw it in person and have lived with it for 3 weeks I LIKE IT!

You need to see in person.. it really works.. etc for the "335is" on the passenger side..

If you don't want to keep it I am sure you could trade it even for someone on this forum with the wood interior...

Lulz.

There are a ton of people around here who carbon wrap their trims. Others who drop the $$ and get the aftermarket CF trim kit.

J,
Is this the interlagos blue 'vert from '09? The saddle brown complements the blue nicely.... but to the best of my knowledge, BMW is not offering saddle brown as an option for the '11 335is convertible. Damn!

I like the trim except for the badge on the passenger side.

Is that just stuck on and can it be easily removed or is it attached in a method that doesn't allow its removal?

Although the Dark Glacier Aluminum is the standard interior trim on the 335is, you can choose from any of the other trim options when you order the car. That's what my dealer told me. I decided to keep the Dark Glacier Aluminum.

It’s actually pretty easy to swap out the trim pieces your self. I ordered the M3 titanium trim from tischer and installation was about 2-3 hours. The longest part is the ashtray cover but with a newer 3 this was deleted so not an issue for you.

Thanks for all the replies. I can't find anything that suggests BMW will build it without the aluminum -- no option offered on BMW's site, or Edmunds or Carsdirect, and the salesman at my dealer said it only comes in aluminum trim. (The black and Saddle pics above look pretty good I must say...)
