question about wheel fitment
ok I blew a runflat saturday. So I went to discount tire here in clovis, nm and they cant get me new rear tires till next monday, totally bullshit, anyway, I found a set of 323 17" wheels with tires for 100 bucks, so do any of ya'll know if these wheels will fit my 335i with sport package if so then I have a set of winter tires now, lol. Thanks.

answering your second post.....our cars are setup with negative camber, which by itself aint really a bad thing at all, just means from behind the top of the tire is tilted in towards the center causing it to ride slightly more on the inside edge of the tire. But if you have excessive toe you are gonna wear down that inside edge of your tire prematurely because it is scrubbing as it moves forward, instead of rolling perfectly straight.
another factor is the RFT's, if you were running them with a lower airpressure than recommended without knowing, you would wear down the inside edge early because of that negative camber and the stiff sidewalls supporting more of the cars weight. as you increase tire pressure you also cause the center portion of the tread to make better contact and get more even wear. past a certain pressure though you will wear down the center more than the edges. |

If they are 17s from a BMW, they should fit. But best to check with one of the TireRack guys on the wheels and tires forum. Gary from Tirerack has his e-mail on several posts.
Another idea is to check TireRack.com. They can probably rush-ship the tires from Reno in one day. |
