I just recently installed mine.
The process can be a bit tricky. However, once you get the air-box off, its veeerrryyyy simple! No warning lights or codes. I'd recommend putting your OEM air-box back on before each BMW service. You'll love the SOUND! |

Did you tune your car yet? People say theres no point performance wise to get an intake without getting a tune first. By tune I mean things like jb3 or procede. I plan on getting one soon before I tune simply for the WOOSH sound

I've noticed more of an urgency to get up and go in first gear.

they work very well and do better with a tune but the dci is as good as anything else on the market and so much cheaper

they're mainly for sound
you shouldn't have any problems except maybe the dealer giving you a hassle

The whoosh is great and while I haven't noticed any real HP gain the car overall is just smoother. I can't give you specifics but the car just seems to run better with them.
You should also add a JB as mentioned before. Then you'll really see a difference. |
