Should I buy this car?

2008 335i coupe; 16,800 miles, has premium/sport/navi, perfect like-new condition, the works and asking $36,800... BUT it has had the HPFP replaced once! Would this be a deal breaker for you? I didn't post pics b/c everyone here should know what a black 335i coupe looks like.

I wouldn't let the fact that it's had the HPFP replaced once be an issue. Many people are on multiple HPFP's so it's pretty common (around here at least). There's also a new pump out and I'm sure you know, BMW has this covered for 10 years/120K so.....

If you like it go for it.

sounds good, like the poster above said HPFP is pretty much a given and not anything to be too scared of.

personally i would wait till the new 3'ers come out, then get a great deal on a CPO 335. Around the same time a lot of leased 335's will be coming in and people will be offloading 335's to get the new 3'er. Saturated market, less demand, buyer has leverage.

If it's a CPO at a dealership I might expect to pay $36,000, if not, the price seems a bit high to me. I just checked locally and numerous 335s around here with similar options and mileage were going for right around $30-$31,000. Talk em' down or look elsewhere I say.

And i wouldn't worry about the hpfp issue...Like NOC57 said, it'll be covered by the extended hpfp warranty for 10 yrs/120,000 miles.

you have to remember though that is their asking price. you wouldn't pay the asking price, so in reality it wouldn't be a bad deal after negotiate and haggling.

i would still wait it out till the new 3 appears.
