Question for Broken1 about Comfort Access

Have you been to any of those places yet where they want to see that you have keys in the ignition before letting you out the parking lot ?

Im shure some guard is going to have a heart attack when you say the car has no key

That has already happened to me at a gym parking. I was sitting in the car, waiting for my girlfriend because I was too tired to work out on that day.

The guard comes to my car, and he tells me that there has been many incidents where people are found fumbling inside cars, in an attempt to steal them. In some cases they successfully stole one of the cars.

As a result, they do not allow people to sit inside cars at the parking, for extended periods because they could be thieves.

So, he asked me to show him my keys... so I showed him in my neck, because that's where I hang my keyfob all the time.... then I started the car... he was like "what the F..."

In the end I gave him a good demo of how things work with CA... and he was very impressed... we became instant buddies

He ended up saying it's fine, I can wait there for as long as I need to, but I must remember the rules and wait inside the gym rather than in the car next time, if I'm going to wait for an extended period of time.

With less cooperative guards, I might have to stick the keyfob in its slot to prove that I'm not stealing the car .

Well, most guards don't seem to care.

About a week after getting my car, I was all excited to tease the guards at monte casino about my keys. The guy shines his torch in the car, looks - see's the emtpy key slot and says ok fine...thank you!

At Makro yesterday, the guard asked where's my key...I said I don't have a key...he said ok bye.

It's just no fun. They never think i'm steeling the car Still in search for the car guard they hassles me...so I can "Be Cool"

Don't worry... you will meet a guard that will hassle you until you succumb to putting your keyfob in its slot

Remeber how the airport made you take your key out, show it to them, and then restart your car... :-( I went there (to fetch someone, not only to "mess" with the guards) and they didn't even stop me ...

Oh well...I enjoy CA for my convinience.

True... it's a very useful feature, for one's convenience.

The added bonus of having fun with people who have no idea about it, is priceless though
