Problem with radio
Has anyone had this problem. I was driving the car today and I was trying to listen to the radio but didn't have any sound. I tried turning up the volume on the steering and the radio. I turned off the radio and turned it back on. I switched stations, tried to play the cd but I didn't have any sound. I even shut off the car but that didn't work either. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Take the car to the dealer so they can see what error messages come up, so they can fix the problem |

This has been an ongoing problem for me. Just yesterday, there was all this distortion in the sound on the CD I was listening to. I just made the cd, so it wasn't the cd that was causing the problem. I hit both ejects and the power knob in for a few seconds, and that re-booted the system, then it started playing fine for me.
Just today, I started the car and again I coudn't get past the accept "screen". The iDrive crashes at that screen all the time anymore. I've just been doing the reboot sequence that I mentioned above to reset it. I also have logic 7 and Idrive http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ight=irritated |

Jdar330,
No I don't have blue tooth enabled right now with my phone. I'm going to try the reboot of the idrive and see if that fixes the problem. I will let you know. Thanks for the info. |

I went to the car to do the reboot and before I could do it. The radio started playing. I will try the reboot if this ever happens again. Thanks again for the help.

Problem started happening again. Sometimes it works other time it doesn't. I tried the reboot but that doesn't seem to do anything. I'm taking the car to the dealer tomorrow.

i just wanted to give an update to my radio situation. I don't think the dealer knows what's causing the problem. They had the car for 2 days now. I called a few times to find out what's going on. They said told me the tech is still working on the car. I'll give an update when I get the car back.

No volume on radio
Ussually its software problem, the radio 'hung' does it all the time in my Merc Becker system, specially after resuming a 'played' cd, just get the i drive software upgraded, if still does't work, get them to install new i drive system/cd inc the latest software
I am a computer engineer, and the above is the only solution, use the system diagnostic to read your hardware and software version, and keep complaning after the dealer 'fix' and its still broken, keep quoting the hardware and software version, and challange them on the 'fix', what have you change 'genius'? I hope this is of a help.

After 3 days they told me that they need to change the amplifier. I'm hoping I get the car back on Tuesday. Thanks for the information.
