The Mason Engineering brace is UBER light and stiff.

The Strong Strut is much heavier and machined by CNC ...also nice.

I;ve heard no one complain of either.

Anyone have any experience installing a Mason?

They must have incredible manufacturing tolerance control to be able to market a one piece bar.
With car production tolerance variance, I could see that installation might be a little testy sometimes.

He generally likes to build them ON your car whenever possible. At the very least...your correct measured digits to adjust on jigging.

His jigs are from non adjusted or damaged cars always.

just called John, he said test car would be ideal but if anyone of had a bar that fits, he could use that as a reference point in recreating one. anyone want to send their bar out for the benefit of all of us???

i know the oem is an option, but ideally i'd like a ONE piece bar like mason and won't rest on the oil cap as it does for the N52!

how about we split the cost of the oem bar, send it over to john, and then sell it back on the forums? =P

You could use superglue as a Loctite and then remove it to ship to him. One of us could swing by and let him test fit if needed ?

I have a Z4 coupe 07'. If you work out the details with Mason Eng. and get your bar prepped and shipped to him I'd be happy to arrange a visit for him to dial the new bar in for you.

I travel through his area monthly and have been there 3 times in the past.

Cheers,Vinny

Wow Vinny, very good of you to offer but I don't think I need to ship a bar out. It was either a test car or bar, but not both. I think if you pay him a visit, he'll take whatever measurements necessary and then you can be on your way?

Vinny...
That would be great if you could stop by Mason for him to do a test fit ...
Then all the questions will be answered.
Thank you
Gabor
