Don't 2007's have transmission issues?

thought that was solved with the software reflash.

Go for it!

I've had my 2007 X3 nearly 3 months and she has 31,500 miles. I had the dealer do a software update on my transmission because it was difficult to coast from a complete stop. It seemed as though the car either wanted to stop moving or take off running...there was no coasting from a complete stop. My best example would be such as after backing out of the driveway, putting the car in drive and then slowly applying the gas, the car wouldn't coast it would take off quickly. The transmission is now great after the update, night and day. I can now coast after backing out of the driveway, she accelerates much better and shifts much better too. Just love my X3...go for it! You'll fall in love with this vehicle...I have nothing bad to say about it at this point.

The dealer is another story. If your dealer experience is anything like mine, be sure you keep tabs on the available updates as the BMW dealer probably won't do it for you. I had to ask for the update. We also own a VW Toureg and the dealer automatically updates any transmission software for us without having to ask or even keep tabs on such things. Go figure...thought BMW would provide better customer service but certainly not the case with us. Just beware-

Let us know if you decide to buy!
