Need some help guys on Wheel Size?
I am debating between getting 20" wheels or 19" wheels for my E92 335i. The 20" will be 20x9 front on 245/30 and 20x10 back on 285/25 Falken tires. The 19" will be 19x9 front on 245/35 and 19x10 on 275/30 Falken tires. I will also have KW V2 coilovers and my delemma is that I don't want to rub, but I want to be as flush as possible with very little wheel gap. I know ride quality will suffer a bit on 20" but they look sick. I did do some searching on here and there is not much info on 20" wheels. Should I just go the safe route and go with the 19"? Thanks for your help. I don't know much about wheels and tires fitment on these cars.

Thanks for your reply but I already have my wheels picked out. I just am wondering if I will have issues with 20" wheels?

Bump for a reply? I need help to figure out if I should get 20 inch wheels or 19inch. The size of the wheels cost the same, it is just a 300 dollar difference in tires. Not sure on ride quality and rubbing? I don't see many people on this forum with 20's but I heard this is going to be the trend. Please chime in. Thanks in advance for your thoughts. Need to make a decision soon.

I'll chime in. The only problem with your question, it's hard to respond on rubbing with no offset information on the wheels you are running.
I ran 20x8.5/ 20x10 30mm all the way around on an E90. I had about an 1.5" drop and I had to do a slight fender roll. The only time I expercienced any rubbing was on hard compression when turning into a driveway. The only difference though on your E92 an ET30mm 20x10 is too aggressive if you are concerned with rubbing. I don't think you can go wrong on either size just do what you want. |
