are the VMR V710's replicas of another design?

^ i have seen some other rims similar to the velocity motoring V710 but not sure if vmr was the original designer or if they are replicas of another brand

The V710's are actually a bit different from P40's if you put them side by side.
At a glance they look almost identical though.

To name a few, the 710's have: lifted center cap area, thicker inner 'lip', concavity (the whole wheel face design goes inward, vs the P40, only the center of the wheel does.), etc.

The 710's look a little more aggressive IMO.
But, they don't stand up to HRE's forged quality and weight/performance.

Check out the Avant Garde 310 low pressure cast wheel with a load rating (1800 lbs) to withstand pressure. What that translates to is that the wheel is going to be not only stronger, but also lighter!

The Avant Garde Type 310 Wheels are a one of a kind design that will give your BMW an aggressive look and stance. The 310 is available in a 19" staggered fitment, with your choice of Hyper Silver, or Matte Black; both are durable enough to stand up against all the harsh elements.

They are different from the P40s, hard to tell unless you look at them side by side.

Once again, why no 18" versions though? The V710 is one of the few 18" wheels you can get right now.

Correct - we have plenty of the 18" V710s in stock if needed.
