will this rub???
I just bought a set of M3 reps for my 07 335 w/sport package 19" x 8.5 et 35 with 235/35 front and 9.5 et 40 with 275/30 rear. I was planning on lowering with H&R sport springs....will I need to add spacers in the rear to have a nice flush look, will I have any rubbing issues...will I need to roll fenders??? From what I have read I think I should be ok with or without lowering.....what do you guys figure???

You will be ok if you don't add a spacer or a 5mm spacer. Anything above that and you will rub.
I just put on 275/30 rubber on my M3 reps with a 10mm spacer and just started rubbing. Before I had 265/30's and a 10mm spacer and no rubbing however my rear offset is originally +35 with the 9.5"rim. I will be rolling my fenders this week. |

et 40 would put your rims further in, et 35 would look the best as they would be more flush with the fender but you still shouldn't rub.

The recommended setup would be the 19x8.5 ET 35 w/ 235/35/19 in the front and 19x9.5 ET40 265/30/19 with a 5mm spacer in the back to minimize any rubbing issues.

I was recommended this at the time of my tire purchase and I will never go with a 265/30 tire again, it's too thin and doesn't offer any rim protection. I know as long as I park properly I shouldn't need it but you never know!

I have heard that from some others as well thats why I opted for the 275's...I will have them on next week without any changes ( spacers or spring change) I will see how it works out and go from there.... Let me know how the fender rolling goes |

So I have installed the wheels, the H&R sports are on the way....I was told that if I drop the car it will rub for sure with the 275/30 rears....without spacers with an et40 offset...I mean really?? I was also told by this same person who works at a euro performance shop that there have been people who have removed their rear quater gaurds in order to get more clearance...is this advisable? I mean isn't that just an invitation for rust??? Also, are the rear camber/toe settings adjustable on the e90's? If so would adjusting it help me resolve any rubbing issues I may have??...So much confusion!!!
All this because I decided to go with 275's instead of 265's???? |

Looks stellar! I highly doubt you'll rub without any spacers on and if you do it'll most likely be the liner. I just rolled my fenders myself and rubbing is gone! Only took me about an hour start to finish. Plus I still have my 10mm spacers on with the 275 tires and +35 offset 9.5 rim! So +25 with the spacers.

So with all this being said do you think I could run a 10mm spacer without rolling, considering I would only be at a +30 offset...how many extra mm's do you think the rolling gained you? BTW...thanks for all the |

Haha what a small world... yes that was me and the wifey driving home. My neck still hurts fromm the double take I gave your car!
I think you could get away with the 10mm spacer if you do roll. If you dont roll it would be VERY CLOSE. I probably gained another 5mm or so, it's not hard to do. I rented a roller from a guy here in Calgary for $50. |
