Fix a Flat & TPMS
I have a e93, so there's no room for any spare tire solution. I'll need rears soon, plus I'm looking at wheels, so I'm thinking of moving away from runflats, but that's scarey in terms of being stranded.
Will the fix a flat damage the TPMS? Anyone have other good ideas/options? I have the BMW roadside still, & I have AAA, but rather not have to rely solely on a phone call & tow for a flat tire.

What's the difference between a porcupine and a BMW, the porcupine has pricks on the outside. Nice weather .. time to get my attention whoring on. |

More cars are coming equipped with either run-flats or fix-a-flat instead of a spare.
I've always been hesitant on using (and have never used) it. One of my friends worked at Discount Tire for a few years. He said they HATED when anyone came in with a tire that needed to be repaired or just removed that had used fix-a-flat. Which in turn means if it's late in the day(close to closing time) or they are just in a bad mood they're going to take less care with you stuff. I think the same would apply to any place you go. Just bring back the damn spares already. I'll take the added weight to have a true spare tire again. |
