Hey all im new to the forum so sorry if these are easy questions.. im looking for rims for my 2008 335xi sedan.. my stock setup that i got with the car is 225/45/17 for the front and back.. what do u recommend that will fit the car safely with no problems and look good. I dont have any plans to drop the car. another question is what does the term stagger mean and can i do that safely on the car.. tks in advance for ur input

Anything from 17's to 19's will fit fine provided they are within the specs required for the E90 sedan. All vendors on here will be able to tell you what will fit your car. A staggered set-up means that the rear wheels are wider than the front, gives the car a more aggressive stance and arguably better handling (depending on how hard you're pushing your car). Many BMW's, including the 3's come with staggered wheels so it's definitely safe for your car.

you say that the 3's come staggered but in mine their not. its the same size in front as in back which is why i was wondering if its ok to stagger them or would it be better to just get the same size all the way around.

Right, but staggered wheels are an option from the factory. Many of the sport package wheel options for the RWD and AWD 3 series are 8" wide in the front and 8.5" wide in the rear. Therefore it's perfectly fine to run a staggered set-up on your car.

You need to either swap your TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensors) from your current wheels to your new wheels or buy a second set to have installed (which I did). As long as you have those installed on your new wheel/tire package you should not throw any codes. The only warranty you would void is the extended tire warranty if you purchased it from the dealer. Otherwise, no other warranty applies to the wheels/tires on your car. New wheels/tires should not affect any other warranty such as suspension.
