Deer Fun

The coupe will be a month old next week and first incident already. A deer ran into the side of my coupe last week on the way to work. It's very hard to see the damage in pics, but it scratched the paint really deep, my passenger mirror is cracked underneath. I had it estimated on Wednesday, it was $801.00! I will have to call my vehicle rep next week to see when they can fix it.

No problems out of the car so far! Hit 3000 miles this week and she is averaging 24.6 MPG. First time with Alpine White and it's a beast to keep clean, but i have been washing it weekly. She's a beauty when she's clean

Check out the 3rd pic. It's very hard to see in pics .. but not in person .. very deep scratch and brown marks.

Depends on how big the deer is. I hit a young one at 55 MPH in the right front head light area and it was a $4,500 repair. The young ones are the ones to keep an eye on, they are not smart enough to stay out of the way!

Very good looking car, congratulations. In the photographs, the damage does not look too bad.

It definitely could have been a lot worse...Good thing you didn't hit it head on!

There are pictures somewhere on the forum of a deer which was sucked into the engine bay. It was not pretty!
