Cracked M-Sport Rim

Doing 80 on the highway and hit a pot hole - thought I would have a flat but it was all good..... or so I thought.

Rear rim cracked a good 3" piece where the rim / tire meet. Tire is fine though - rim is shot.

Since the tire is fine do I have a case in getting BMW to replace for free? I doubt I do, but if anyone thinks otherwise let me know. No - didn't get the rim / tire insurance.

RFT + 18" rims or larger = bent/cracked rims.

IIRC the owners manual states that these cars with sport suspensions are more susceptible(sp?) to damage.

Is it cracked and bent at the same time? If there is a crack in the rim, BMW might replace it as a casting failure as long as you are still under warranty. If the rim is bent, GOOD LUCK!
