I actually just installed it yesterday... I finally talked the parts dept into giving them to me at my local dealer.

The install is really easy once you know where all of the parts go.

all you need is to make sure you have the template to drill the holes. this is the hardest part of the whole install, which is really easy if you can use a power drill.

brief instructions if you do not recieve them in the mail:

tape the template up in the trunk using the trunk light as you guide.
mark drilling points with a center punch.
Drill very carefully as your parcel shelf will suffer damage if you go too far. 5mm is enough.
insert well nuts into holes (rubber grommet with metal threads inside.)
attach brackets with long bolts using washer and lock washer (save the short bolts for the griooer unit itself)
make sure the 3 brackets are on tight and straight.
Attach Gripper to bracket with short bolts and washers

You are done now go get some grocerys!

If you need the instructions I can scan them on Monday and post it up.

Yes Mike, i think directions would be very helpful to a lot of people. It can be made sticky in the DIY section.

I installed the gripper yesterday. It was pretty easy, except the directions i had werent specific to the 3. Its easy though. Most challenging thing was drilling the holes. Tried it out at grocery store right away and it works as planned, just doesnt look as cool as the ones on the Audi/VWs.

Im happy though.
