Smile Picked up E92 335d Coupe

Finally picked up my E92 335d Coupe yesterday evening. I've only driven it in the dark so far - set off at 6am this morning (horrible weather), and came back again tonight after dark.

Very pleased so far, though only done 138 miles in total. Had a funny burning smell on the M25 when stuck in a jam tonight, but hopefully it was just the newness burning off the manifold. The OBC says I'm getting 36.2 mpg, which seems pretty good for a brand new engine, then again I am taking it easy.

Sparkling graphite looks really different under different lighting conditions. That really is my car in the avatar picture - there is some bluey-purple in there. Will try to take some pictures during the day to post to the Sparkling Graphite E92 thread.

Beautiful!

There are not too many sparkling graphite E92s around, so please post some more! Quality is not bad.

yeah, it doesn't exactly look level.

Really nice choice of colour/options though.

Smile

I was also suprised to see the purpley element in sparkling graphite ... and it seams more noticable at night ... but love it as it adds an extra dimension to the colour.

Great car by the way

Nice car. Nice colour!! I like my SG E90, but it does look a bit flat when it's dirty!

Great excuse to get out and clean it though. Enjoy.

Thanks Mike.

Yes, the 335d badge does look a bit wonky in that photo, doesn't it? I ran outside to have a look, and it's not so bad in real life, which is why I didn't notice it before. I'll have to see if it bothers me enough to complain about. I suppose one option would be to de-badge it, but I have mixed feelings about doing that...

Looking fine It is a smart colour.

I'm just awaiting delivery of my E92 335D. Fidgeting each time I see posts like this !

36 mpg .....

I can't wait. I'm trading in my S-Type 4.2 (bought new) and it averages about 18mpg in my city driving (long trips cruising across Europe saw it rise to heady 26mpg).

I'll get nosebleed when I start getting into the high 30s with the E92

Lovely looking....can't wait for mine to arrive now!

Is that 'Elms' in Bedford? I used to love the coffee and popcorn whilst they serviced my car! Sadly, my local dealer isn't as hospitable!

Well done.....just wait until you have 10 time that mileage under its belt.

Mine has now done 2,750 and its really starting to feel smooth and very strong.

I have been getting close on 40mpg lately, despite enjoying all that torque.

Red,

Good to hear that the car is feeling good with a few more miles up

Close to 40mpg?? I got 33.4mpg from my first tank-full - the computer is pretty damn accurate too....... 404 miles and 55 litres = 33.34mpg as against computer at 33.4mpg. You must be lighter-footed than me to get nearly 40..... then again, maybe most of your driving is on level going and main roads/motorway? Mine is a real mixed bag oop here in Nth Yks including lots of hills and country lanes.

Cheers,

Mike

Car looks fantastic, nice pics. Can't wait to get mine. Dealer phoned yesterday to say it will be with them a couple of weeks early on Dec 24th. Any idea how long it takes them to get it ready for collection? Couldn't get hold of the dealer today to find out.
