I currently don't own a car....

Yep, it's gone! This is what it looked like this morning after my 2500 mile trip round Europe - I don't think I've ever had a car so filthy before!

I couldn't let Amar collect it in this state so I did clean it and it was in rather better condition by the time he arrived to take it away from me!

However, in view of the recent topics on the service offered by dealers, I have once again been very impressed by Mercedes Retail.

The dealer I've used agreed to loan me a car until mine comes, free of charge, and expecting an A-class or similar, I was very pleasantly surprised to be given one of their latest twin-turbo diesel E250 CDI's for a few weeks! They didn't have to loan me a car at all so to get one of these for free is a result.

Admittedly, it's not the most sporting of cars but it's very very refined and comfy so all in all, a pleasant surprise and a nice change (but I bet I'll be hankering after my new C63 after a few days!).

Is it me currently being biased or is this pretty awesome service??

So, my 'stop-gap' car is this sporty little number ......

That is a very good service. Hope the injectors don't fail on you though!

That C63 looks even more menacing dirty. Love it.

Shame though only high end customers get the ''special treatment''

Yes, good point - I don't want the curtains twitching do I!! TBH, the neighbours think the same as most people - I'm off my rocker!

Nice stop-gap Andrew.

One can become used to decent customer service eh..........other dealers could learn a lot from this.

Enjoy the loan car, it 'aint bad.
