Tomtom iphone gps

Im thinking of buying the tomtom iphone adaptor/app for the Mini.

Does the app give good satnav instructions?

Also has anyone bought the adaptor for handsfree calling etc? If so is it any good?

I know a couple of people that bought TomTom for iphone and said it was ok, but often lost gps or lagged behind !!!

After bit of reading and research I decided to buy Co-pilot as the GPS tracking seems to be much better and therefore you don't need to spend £100 on a cradle to boost gps signal - works really well and includes safety camera database !!!

Biggest problem though Steve, is that the iphone does not multi-task so as soon as the phone receives a call or you want to make a call, it will stop the tom-tom app. Not good when stuck in traffic!

Would be OK to use as a freebie, but would not pay good money to use it with software/holder etc - get a proper sat nav and leave the phone as a phone

gps does lagwithut the cradle, however its a great app to have for times when you dnt have your tomtom with you.Jailbrake your iphone and get the app free, try it out andif you like it buy

I use CoPilot on my iPhone with no issues so far.
You do need to run it off the charger though as it sucks the battery dry very quickly otherwise!

Or wait till June and the new release of the latest Iphone, which will most likely be able to multi-task.

Agree. Its a great app to have but I wouldn't pay for it. I used it for a 90 min journey the other day and it used 85% of my battery!
