How to get piano black trim?

Looking on the bmw international website there's a program called "bmw individual" where there's different leather, trim, exterior colors, etc. Searching around the web it appears the program is primarily for euro purchase, however you CAN order in the US if you have a salesman who will go above and beyond. I'm scheduled for euro delivery Oct 24th and still have time to change my options if I want. I've seen pics of the piano black trim and IMO its a great compromise between wood and aluminum (wood is old dude and aluminum looks cheap IMO). I picture it similar to the shadow black in my 01 M3.

Appears also that the trim would be about 800 euro to add to my 330i, which is just too much money for me to spend on that item. Any suggestions of how to order the piano black from a dealer in europe directly? I'd like to find out the price from them vs. ordering the trim on the car.... tia

Piano Black trim looks just like the name says, a black piano's wood finish

You can only order those parts if you have the VIN number of a individual car.

Anyone have pics of this? First time I've heard of such an interior trim. Piano black with lemon interior could look awesome.

Here's the website of how to see the different options. I'll be in Munich for ED so maybe there's an outside chance I can buy it directly somehow...

Here's the response from BMW NA when inquiring adding piano black to my interior:

Thank you for contacting BMW of North America, LLC. Unfortunately, the option you are referring to is part of the Individual Package and not available for U.S. models. Please accept my apologies for any frustration or inconvenience this situation may cause.

If you have any further questions, please respond to this e-mail or contact the Customer Relations and Services Department at 1-800-831-1117, Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M., Eastern Standard Time. Again, thank you for contacting BMW.

Part of the allure of the Individual system is that no one without a Individual car can buy its parts from BMW

Germany requires Individual VIN and owner ID before releasing the part, and then will only release what that car was built with ( so if it wasnt built with piano you cannot get it, even if you have a Individual )

Remember we can pay over 10% more for the car for this option

Wow that black piano color really looks nice, though. It kind of makes me wish that was an actual option for everyone, because I think I'd go for it!

I was at my dealership here in toronto on thursday of last week...they called me in to do some software thing to the car...not the big one we are all hoping for...

anyways....while i was in the dealership for an hour....i was looking around...in the nicest spot available in the dealship..(second floor, in the big windowed area)...there was a 760i with the individual paint and interior...and there was a white interior with the Piano Black...and it looked pretty damn nice...i think it would be a lot of work though...if anyone has ever owned a piano in their house...they would know that it doesnt stay clean very long...and fingerprints are almost instantanious....

all that to say...i dont know if you can get that as a stand alone option....but i'll call my guy at the dealership...i deal directly with the general manager...maybe i can get an answer out of him.
