325/330 Style Exhaust Mod for 320d
After ages of should I/shouldn't I...I have finally decided to opt for the twin exhaust trim similar to the 325/330. In my opinion the single exhaust looks completely wrong on the car. I think that the twin exhaust on the left of the car looks much better.
Now I have a problem. I cannot get near ANY 6 cylinder models to check exhaust dimensions as the main BMW dealer is miles away and there are NO 6 pots around where I live. In fact I haven't seen one. I am hoping somebody here with a 6 pot can help me. Can anybody please tell me the exact diameter for the exhaust? I want it to be as close to original as possible. Also, I noticed that the left hand pipe sits slightly further in than the right in order to flow with the lines of the rear bumper. Can anybody please tell me what the exact difference is between the left and right pipes. I know it is only millimeters but how many? If somebody can provide me with this info I would be most obliged. Also, any shots you might have of this mod being done would be very useful. Thank you so much for going to the trouble. Can I be a real pest and ask how many mms the right hand pipe should stick out from the bumper? THANKS A MILLION.

Have searched and searched locally here but can't find tips of the standard I was looking for. I want to use stainless steel of the highest quality and as I said as OEM as possible. I know Supersprint are the best in the business so I checked their website. Came across this. Has anybody heard of this part? Endpipe kit OO80 (Weld on connection) - cod: 045616
http://www.supersprint.com/USP000bmwE907.asp Seems to be just the ticket. Can't see a price though. I just need the tips so I don't think it will be expensive. Has anybody tried doing this? Last edited by Glasgow Rangers; 03-16-2010 at 06:04 AM.. |

Bear in mind those pics are of a taipipe finisher - ideally you would need to measure the diameter of the actual pipe itself and not the finisher.

Hi mate. I am based in Turkey so I would have to import the part over here. I talked with the BMW service here and they have said they will fit the part once I source it so no problem with warranty as I know the guys in the service department.
I have seen that the distributors for Supersprint in the UK are Eurocarparts and they have a shop up in Possil on Saracen St. The number is 0141 331 0332. Give them a call and see if they can help. Let me know how you get on mate. |
