Hey guys, it was a pleasure to be part of this great forum but I am departing. We had a little addition to the family so I had to get something a little bigger. So, I had to sacrifice my baby for a baby.

I will really miss my E90. The way I look at it, I can save some more money and get me a 335i later on.

Anyway, Like I said b4. It was a great experience to be here. Thanks to everybody for replying when I had stupid little questions.

Here is a picture of my next ride which will be picked up this afternoon.

I don't understand scenarios like this. It's not like the E90 is a 2 seat sports car...how many kids do you have?

I've seen plenty of soccer mom types carting babies around in BMW sedans.

It was not that I "needed" more space. It was a "comfort" thing.

For most families, even with one child, a sedan just won't do. Of course, placing and removing a child from the rear of a sedan (with baby seat) is possible, but a van or an SUV is so much easier.

If our parents could have done it in the past with a sedan before the advent of SUV's and minivans, I'm sure we can too.

But I also understand these days the baby car seats are getting bulkier and bigger for safety reasons. However, in my parents' generation, not only did they not have baby car seats, most times we weren't even wearing safety belts when we were going out in their car a few decades ago!

Lol nice choice of vehicle those are pretty awesome. Kiss the N52's mileage goodbye lol.

Honestly if I was in your position I would have gotten an Odyssey Touring. Great Mileage, space, comfort, and it corners better than my Nissan Maxima (Any Odyssey 99+ does).

Or if you dont like minivan's a used 4.4i.

Anyways, congrats on your new Commander (I see you slipped in the 5.7 niice lol), hopefully you'll get your 335 soon!

Yeah cause a Hummer, Yukon or 'Burban would suit a family of 3 SO much better.

My Freelander is big enough for this family of 4

Hehe, I bought my E91 because the Mini Cooper was too small for a family. Guess you live your life one size larger.

1) A college fund
2) A gas fund

But at least you won't get

I find my E90 is plenty big enough for me, Mrs ES-Jet and my two kids (4 years & 18 months). I'd sooner have a car that's fun to drive and is stylish for the five days a week I'm in it on my own. At the weekends we all fit in ok, safe in the knowledge that the car is rated 5 stars on NCAP and has DSC, ABS, CBC. On holidays - we pack to fit the car.

As for College fund, It's almost covered.

And for saving for a 335i, more than halfway there, lol

Well enjoy the new car, I just sold my Dodge Pickup with a hemi for my e90 for a couple of reasons. One even though gas is coming down, that hemi can sure suck gas. I live in Heidelberg and it was costing me about 200 a month in gas. And that was just driving from home to work (less then 5 miles)

Forget about traveling. the second thing was parking it. Not an easy task in europe. So I sold it and I have no regrets. When I get back to the States I'll probaly buy a new truck. but anyways. I do miss being able to load anything I wanted in the back but I have a two year old and a 3 month old and find my 325 to work out fine. Good luck though! and Congratz on the Baby!

Congrats!!! I would have chosen a Honda Odyssey (safer, roomier), but thats not a bad choice at all.
Hey, I am expecting a kid too in a few months, but I am going with the 335i

I really hope we can pulli t off with a sedan. We are not getting a VAN or SUV until the second one.
