so i got a problem .....
long story short, shit happens .....
besides my front bumper having a small hole in it, i was wondering ...... my left front wheel is straight while my right front wheel is in an angle a bit. i know i didnt break the axle cause the car still drives (in oder to drive straight the steering wheel has to be a bit side ways) i was hoping all i really need is an alignment but dont knoow much (i also have warranty if that helps) ...... and if not what could it be ? also for the front bumper i was just gonna take it to a body shop but not sure if i should take it to BMW..... |

you could take it to the dealer, but you can also take it to any wheel shop to avoid getting raped by a dealer alignment price

so...take it in tomorrow. if you cant figure out what's wrong, you can fix it yourself. there's only so much we can do with a description, and the two possibilities are (1) you need an alignment, so find a indy shop (or take it to bmw), or (2) you need other suspension fixes, which we cant diagnose online, so take it to an indy shop (or bmw)

The warning lights are on because the steering is off center when your driving. Warranty does not cover alignments unless they replace a part under warranty that requires an alignment after that repair.

As far as the damage to the wheel, it will be an alignment, Possibly a suspension component or 2. Good time for a drop since they will be working on that already.
As far as the front bumper try finding one locally from someone on the forum, with the same paint color. It would be a cheaper option and find a shop to install it or if you can check out the diy on this forum on doing it yourself. I am not sure how bad the damage is so I would recommend not driving on it if its not necessary because you can cause further damage or cause an accident if something fails. Have someone check out the car tomorrow. Like others have said go to an indy shop and get an alignment. Worse case you need to replace some suspenion parts. For that you would need to get oem parts at the dealer. Check out realoem.com to see the parts of the front axle. Warranty is for things wrong with the car from the factory and wear and tear maintenance items. You could also file an insurance claim but it may look bad on your part. Good luck getting everything fixed. |

Side topic: What do you guys think if I JUST got an alignment like 3 days ago, and I feel the car pulling to one side? Think I ask them if they'll realign it for free? I mean what if it messed up?
