since the car is made by BMW, I think it's pretty safe to assume that you can buy the chrome numbers from a BMW dealership, maybe, just maybe, try the dealership

There is no "proper" way. The car should come with the correct badge from the factory.

There is an adhesive backing so just make sure the paint is clean and stick it on. Placement is crucial though because if it's off, I think it looks really bad.

BTW, they sell M3 badges on ebay, but I think the 335 badge is the way to go....

unless you have an M3, why would you want to buy an m3 badge?

A few years ago I actually saw a BMW "328iM3" on I-287 in New Jersey.

I would think that anyone who cared if it was an M3 would realize it was a phoney M3, but to each his own. It's a free country.

When you purchase the badges from the dealer, you will find that they already have adhesive on the back and they will also provide you with a template explaining where they should be installed.

Thinking about swaping out my badges for the carbon fiber ones. Is it hard to replace?
